According to a recent ranking of the biggest clothing companies by market capitalization, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, commonly known as LVMH, tops the list. As of December 2023, the French luxury goods fashion company has a market cap of $385.3 billion.
To put this figure in perspective, it accounts for one-quarter of the total market capitalization of the top 111 clothing companies, which totals $1.53 trillion. It is also more than double the second-biggest clothing company, Nike. The US-based sportswear brand has a market capitalization of $176.7 billion.

Dior, an LVMH-owned company, is close behind in third place, with a market cap of $133.9 billion. This is followed by Spain’s Inditex, which owns popular fashion brands Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Bershka. Inditex’s market cap is currently valued at $129.8 billion.
Massachusetts-based TJX Companies, which owns brands like T. J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods, rounds out the list of the biggest clothing companies in the world. It has a market capitalization of $100.9 billion.
Fast Retailing, a Japanese retail company, is the sixth-biggest clothing company, with a market cap of $76.5 billion. Fashion brands Uniqlo and GU are among its portfolio. Fast Retailing is also the only Asian company to feature on this list of the biggest clothing companies in the world.
This is followed by Canada’s lululemon athletica. Its market capitalization totals $58.3 billion. Cintas is in eighth place, with $56.1 billion. Kering, another French company that’s often considered to be one of LVMH’s biggest rivals, ranks next. Currently worth $53 billion, Kering runs luxury brands Gucci, Yves Saint Laurant, Balenciaga, and many others. California-based Ross Stores completes the list of the largest clothing companies, with a market cap of $44.8 billion.
Of this top 10 list, five are headquartered in North America, four are in Europe, and one is in Asia.
